My First Suzuki GS500 Motorcycle

If you read the about me page,you already know my first street motorcycle was A 1996 Suzuki GSX-R750 SRAD.In the last few years I have enjoyed owning and riding many Suzuki GS500E motorcycles.I currently have four GS500 motorcycles in various states of build.This post is to highlight the bike that got the Suzuki GS500E craze started with me.In May of 2008,I purchased my first GS500E through Ebay.It was a repainted black 1989 Suzuki GS500E with the original factory GS500E clip on style handle bars.These were only imported in 1989.The later years had standard handle bars.I drove two hours to Clancy County North Carolina to pick up my new beauty.She was dressed up with a Targa quarter fairing and matching lower fairing or chin spoiler.The previous owner had installed a 2005 Suzuki GS500F fuel tank.The 2002+ GS500E/F tanks are larger and hold 1 to 1.5 gallons more fuel.Trade off,clip on type handle bars hit the tank.Not a big deal,I'll get into more details when I post about my modifications.So on with the pics of my motorcycle when I first got her.These are all I have left.Photobucket are most of them and my old computer crashed taking the originals with it.
