Even Before Entry, Triumph’s MD Quits: October Entry Planned
Even when Triumph has not started selling its products here in India, it has run into a little trouble. AutoCar reports that Ashish Joshi, Managing Director of Triumph’s India’s operations has resigned from his position and would no more be associated with the company. In his absence, set-up and operations would be handled by Paul Stroud who is the Director of Sales and Marketing along with Steve Sargent, Director of Emerging Markets and Overall Product Strategy.
We first saw Triumph at the recently held Auto Expo where the company displayed as many as 7 models ranging from 5.5 Lakhs to 23 Lakhs. We have already reported that Triumph is planning to go live with 3-4 dealerships at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and little later on Chandigarhand have plans to increase this count to 10-12 in three years timeframe. October 2012 might see the official launch of Triumph in India and that is when its diehard fans can actually go ahead and buy the iconic British branded motorcycles. We hope this hit doesn’t sway company’s plans and we see Triumphs burning our roads soon.
