BMW R100 7,Oak by La Raiz Motorcycles




The old BMW R100′s are in fashion these days and this last one is coming from the Spanish custom workshop of La Raiz Motorcycles. The restauration began by sourcing the original tank from the pre-seventies model, which was in perfect condition, with original green paint and found in…Germany! The bike was then stripped off and the grinding and cleaning process began. The handle bars were replaced with aftermarket ones, while the subframe was hand fabricated for that cool flat-seat looks.

The suspension and brakes were upgraded while the radical exhaust pipes are hand fabricated by La Raiz. When the bike finally got the knobby tires on, it completed the utilitarian “scrambler” looks that Spaniards were after. The R100 are renowned for their robustness and reliability, something like an Oak tree, hence the name. We love the simplicity of the build and the fact that “less is more” here. Brilliant bike…
